From Lucy to the present day

In the days of our symbolic ancestor Lucy, the word « digital » didn’t exist of course, nor did « electricity » .

No such thing as a « fashion show » with all the publicity attached to it. The only form of communication was oral.

Since those early days, people have gradually developed their knowledge and evolved ways of storing information so as to make better use of it or to transmit it.

They have improved their tools, eventually designing instruments and producing energy to carry them forward into our modern era. Although this power became industrial, it demonstrated its limits during the last world war which ended in 1945.

In the light of the danger of mass destruction using chemical and atomic weapons an international organisation was created in San Francisco; the United Nations Organisation, followed by its Charter of Human rights signed in Paris in 1948.

Evolution since 1948

At this time ecology did not feature amongst the general interests; Concorde, initiated by General De Gaulle, was unimaginable, not to mention digital technology. A more pressing need was to rebuild the economy of countries ravaged by war.

Now, 72 years later, ecology has become a strategic priority for the preservation of the human race ; digital technology has become an incredible implement now threatening the basic freedom of the individual.

M.Foundation’s vocation therefore is twofold ; firstly to play an operational rôle in supporting the realisation of a society of Human Beings that is sustainable and secondly, to protect that society from inapproriate use of digital technology by the political and commercial universes.

Thus, it is a sanctuarised society that must emerge from entry into the cycle of rationalisation. Its tool is The Charter for Humanity Augmented (C.H.A) brought about by an enhancement of the UN Charter of Human rights.

The impact of social media

Backed by digital technology, the social networks enable information to be transmitted across the entire planet in one nanosecond, unless they are censured by certain governments.

This creates a fantastic scope for mobilisation (cf : the Arab spring, the tweets circulated by Trump… etc)

Of course, M.Foundation will be using this facility to publish its propositions and activities and receive your comments, not to mention your support, dear reader.

Raising awareness

The Media, in their broadest sense, which includes the Web, allow us to compare our social or economic situation with each other and to realise that nothing is fixed; that we may envisage a move towards a better life, even collectively.

This awareness emerges from numerous Internet sites offering alternative ways.

But there, whereas  many associations and foundations practice preaching  and lobbying,

M.Foundation acts directly on the evolution of the socio-economic ecosystem by setting in place an alternative parallel solution which we call « Chrysalis » which enables a structural change of paradigm as explained in this site.

Social evolution

It is already happening. The pace of this evolution is accelerating ; it is becoming more and more difficult for a dictator etc. to conceal his personal gain at his people’s expense… A fairer sharing of resources and of power is happening.

This schema illustrates the route followed and this trend towards acceleration.

M.Foundation aims to add another brick to the structure by supporting the CHA.
